Manufacturing Metrology Technician

A position in quality management is available at the production site in Wuppertal. As a manufacturing metrology technician, you will work in the die-casting plant’s metrology and problem-solving team, plan inspections, prepare measurement reports and support quality improvement.

• Independently planning and preparing inspections for die-cast parts, individual parts and assemblies
• Preparing and evaluating measurement reports
• Monitoring product quality and operator self-inspections
• Evaluating and, where appropriate, approving deviations
• Analysing and solving quality problems in production
• Supporting production with root-cause analysis and the sustainable elimination of quality problems
• Training skilled workers to use measuring equipment and inspection programmes
• Helping develop and use inspection fixtures
• Optimising casting processes, tools and products

• Technical qualification, for example as a tool mechanic or foundry mechanic
• Experience in professional manufacturing metrology in a metal- or plastics-processing company, ideally with sound knowledge of casting technology
• Ability to work quickly, precisely and reliably
• Ability to work in a team and proactively coordinate with colleagues
• Strong character with the ability to represent quality positions and convince others
• Confident use of technical drawings and inspection characteristics
