Theory phases at THGA University of Applied Sciences Bochum: Basic engineering training in technology and natural sciences; lectures in mathematics and electrical engineering, computer science, control engineering and digital technology; basic knowledge in energy technology and automation technology for a broad knowledge spectrum in the fields of electrical power generation, electrical power networks and process automation. Theory phases at vocational school: At the Hans Böckler Vocational College in Marl you will receive a solid basic knowledge in subject-specific and general education subjects. Operational training: Installation, maintenance and servicing of measuring, control and regulating equipment on electrical production plants and process control systems; measuring physical variables such as pressure, temperature and flow, as well as electrical variables such as currents and voltages; maintenance, repair and testing of electrical systems; creating and extending control programs and programming automated systems; installation and initialisation of operating systems, bus systems and network technology; optimisation and troubleshooting in ongoing production processes; organisation of work processes and implementation of projects in the field of electrical and automation technology. Training duration: 3.5 years apprenticeship / 8 semesters study. Start of training: 01.09.2027. Training location: Chemiepark Marl.

Training remuneration: Already in the first training year you receive over 1,100 €/month salary. Afterwards your monthly salary increases per training year.
