• Getting familiar with the existing manufacturing processes and vibratory finishing technologies
• Analysis of the current situation: process flows, material flow, quality indicators and interfaces
• Identifying and classifying process steps as value-adding and non-value-adding
• Developing a flexible, future-proof concept for surface finishing with a high degree of automation, including integrated parts cleaning
• Considering Industry 4.0 aspects: adaptive information management, process automation, flexibilization = predictive maintenance
• Preparing a requirements specification for technology, automation, cleaning and quality assurance
• Creating a project plan with milestones and a rough effort estimate for implementation and validation
• Creating user documentation, process descriptions and work instructions
• Presenting the results and deriving first recommendations for action for the specialist departments

• Enrolled student in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable degree program (bachelor's thesis preferred)
• Basic knowledge of production processes, automation technology, data analysis or quality management is an advantage
• Good German and very good English skills, spoken and written
• Independent, structured and results-oriented way of working
