During your apprenticeship, you will gain a diverse insight into a wide range of areas at Roche. The focus is on guaranteeing you a sustainable learning effect and contributing your own ideas. You will work closely with other apprentices and be warmly welcomed into the team from day one.

• Your exceptionally versatile apprenticeship consists of a craftsmanship and a fire service technical training section.
• You will receive extensive craftsmanship training, for example in wood and metal processing, in the plant fire department areas of the Freudenberg Group and in inter-company training centers.
• In addition, you will acquire basic knowledge for operations in the fire service technical area. For example, the ability to assess a fire in its progression, heat and smoke development and select appropriate extinguishing agents.
• You will learn the use of rescue equipment for technical assistance and the correct handling of hazardous substances.
• You will carry out maintenance and servicing of fire protection systems, fire engines and breathing apparatus and assist in instructing company employees on fire protection topics.
• After completing your apprenticeship as a plant firefighter, you will work as a 'Specialist Fire Protection & Site Security Center' at the Mannheim campus.

• At least intermediate school leaving certificate
• Minimum age at start of apprenticeship: 18 years
• Class B driver's license (must be obtained by the 2nd year of apprenticeship at the latest)
• Personal and health suitability
• Very good physical fitness
• No fear of heights or claustrophobia
• No color or vision impairment
• Willingness to work shifts
• Certificate of good conduct according to Federal Aviation Office requirements
• High resilience, initiative, sense of responsibility, independence, team spirit, flexibility and willingness to learn
