A chemical company without its chemical plant operators? Unthinkable! As a chemical plant operator you get a close look at BASF's product world and are right in the middle of producing many chemical products. After your training, further education, for example as an industrial foreman in chemistry, or a university degree in process engineering can follow.

• Learn the industrial production of different chemical products
• Control and monitor production processes
• Take part in developing processes for making chemical products
• 35% central training for basics, advanced content and exam preparation in our own training centre
• 65% practice-based on-the-job training in the various production units and maintenance

• At least a good Realschulabschluss (intermediate school leaving certificate)
• Enthusiasm for chemistry and technology
• Interest in making chemical substances
• Basic technical understanding and practical skill
• Strong sense of responsibility, precision and care at work
• Willingness to work shifts and enjoy challenges
