Apprenticeship Mechatronics Technician

As a rule, the apprenticeship lasts 3.5 years with regular alternation between theory and practice, each one week school and two weeks in the company. The theoretical part takes place at the vocational school in the Oberstufenzentrum TIEM and the practical part in our production departments and central technology. The first 1.5 years take place at an external training facility (ABB Training Center) where you receive a solid practical technical basic training.

• You work in the assembly and maintenance of complex machines and systems.
• Your tasks include, among others, assembly, installation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical or electronic systems.
• As an electrical specialist you act in accordance with accident prevention regulations and observe relevant regulations and safety provisions. In doing so you can be deployed broadly and across industries.
• At BERLIN-CHEMIE you work particularly as a setter in the various manufacturing departments. The focus here is on maintenance, troubleshooting and rectification as well as setting up and converting our modern production systems.

• You have at least a secondary school diploma or high school diploma.
• You can demonstrate good performance in mathematics and physics.
• You bring high motivation and enthusiasm for modern production plants and technical content.
• You successfully pass the aptitude test during our application process.
