Dual Study Program Mechanical Engineering 2027

The dual study program in mechanical engineering combines practical work with academic teaching. At the end you hold two qualifications: the IHK certificate as an industrial mechanic (after 2.5 years of training) and the Bachelor of Engineering (after 8 semesters of study at Hochschule Niederrhein in Krefeld). During training you also get to know the sites in Dormagen and Leverkusen. Study content: automation technology, design theory, engineering mechanics, materials science, electrical engineering, plastics technology, mechatronics, production engineering and process engineering.

• From idea to implementation: You first design technical products on paper or digitally so they can then be built.
• Hands-on work: Welding, turning and milling are part of your daily routine, as is operating large machines and plants.
• A job with responsibility: You are the link between development, design engineering and implementation.

• You have successfully completed your Fachabitur or Abitur.
• You are keen to put the knowledge from your university studies straight into practice at the company.
• Science and math? Exactly your thing.
• You understand technical and physical relationships and want to know how things work.
