About this Apprenticeship
Fixed-term position (24 months) starting at the earliest possible date in the GFA Life & Health 2 department in Hannover. You work with customers and internal interfaces and support closing and claims processes in an international environment.
What You'll Learn
- Check, process and book insurance accounting statements including completeness checks
- Process claims including sanctions checks and coordination with claims specialists
- Manage SAP cash payouts and clear open items in ongoing accounting
- Maintain forecasts and estimates for selected reinsurance contracts
- Support quarterly closings and contribute to timely reporting
- Work with internal and external customers and contribute to projects and working groups
Requirements
- Completed degree in business administration or commercial vocational training with relevant professional experience
- Some experience in life insurance or comparable knowledge in the insurance field, ideally exposure to automation tools such as Copilot or Power Query
- Basic knowledge of accounting standards such as HGB and IFRS 17, ideally also of obligatory and facultative reinsurance contract types
- Confident use of SAP and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Negotiation-level Spanish for working with customers in Latin America, plus conversational German and English
- Strong numerical understanding, analytical and conceptual skills, and a structured, well-organised way of working with a high quality awareness
