Embedded Hardware Developer

For the 'Software & Hardware Framework' area, we are looking for an 'Embedded Hardware Developer (f/m/d)' at our Oberkochen location as soon as possible. The area develops a cross-functional embedded platform that supports the development of all future products. This includes hardware, FPGA IP cores, operating system, Linux drivers, and embedded software plugins.

• Analysis and optimization of schematics and layouts of complex electronics of embedded systems as well as high-speed interfaces (SDI video, multi-Gbit Ethernet, SFP, SerDes, …)
• Support of internal and external development partners and integration of development results
• Definition and development of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) strategies and setups
• Definition and implementation of test procedures for functional verification, especially with HiL
• Definition and documentation of hardware and software interfaces
• Making strategic implementation decisions
• Setup, commissioning, and evaluation of experiments
• Support in system integration
• Requirements management for embedded systems
• Development under Linux

• Successfully completed degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or comparable degree
• Experience with modern ECAD tools (e.g. Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, Mentor Graphics, or HyperLynx)
• Experience with laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, vector analyzer, signal generator)
• Knowledge in FPGA programming advantageous
• Experience in agile development and code versioning (Atlassian tools Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo)
• Experience in high-speed interfaces, Python, and MATLAB as well as development under Linux
• Experience in RTL simulation advantageous
