Electrical Design Engineer

Responsibility for the electrical manufacturing design of complex systems and assemblies in the defence and high-tech environment at HENSOLDT, at the Friedberg site.

• Responsibility for the electrical manufacturing design of complex systems and assemblies in the defence and high-tech environment
• Creation, review and maintenance of circuit diagrams, system overviews, production documents and bills of materials in compliance with internal processes, standards and regulatory requirements
• Selection, design and integration of electrical and electronic components, considering manufacturability, quality, obsolescence and lifecycle aspects
• Close technical coordination with development, production, industrial engineering, quality, purchasing and project management
• Taking on the technical interface function (PoC) between projects, production, development and external partners
• Technical management and support of subcontractors and extended workbenches
• Planning, execution and documentation of testing, acceptance and qualification procedures
• Support, monitoring and assessment of build status and production progress
• Contributing to the administration and further development of the CAE tool landscape (E³ Zuken or EPLAN)
• Support with error analysis, deviation management and maintenance and repair measures on complex systems

• Completed degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable qualification
• Experience using MS Office (e.g. MS PowerPoint and MS Excel)
• Good knowledge of test methodology, test process and test automation
• Knowledge of common tools (e.g. DOORS, JIRA, IBM RQM), problem management tools)
• Good German and English skills, spoken and written
• Many years of professional experience in electrical design, ideally in the production or series transfer of complex systems
• Very good knowledge of E³ Zuken or EPLAN
• Experience in cost-appropriate design, strong quality awareness and advisory skills
