System Engineer for EMC

For the Test Center division, we are looking for a "System Engineer for EMC (m/f/d)" for the EMC laboratory at our Oberkochen site as soon as possible. "Electromagnetic Compatibility is the ability of a device to function satisfactorily in its electromagnetic environment without causing unacceptable interference to other devices in that environment." To ensure EMC, EMC measures must be integrated into development from the outset. This includes the analysis of requirements, the definition of necessary EMC measures and the planning of corresponding tests. In a versatile role as EMC System Engineer (m/f/d), you will advise development on EMC requirements, develop EMC measures with regard to circuit design, layout implementation, mechanical implementation as well as connector and cable selection, and create associated documentation such as EMC control and test plans. Engineering and qualification tests with associated documentation round off the job profile.

• Design of EMC plans for the respective products (control and test plan)
• Conducting EMC analyses in the product development phase
• Advising development projects on demanding EMC topics
• Design of surge protection and EMC filters
• Development and implementation of shielding and measurement reference potential concepts
• Conducting EMC tests on component and sub-system basis
• Performing measurements and interpreting measurement results, followed by discussion of results in the project team
• Documentation of measurements and results

• Completed degree in engineering, specializing in communications engineering, electrical engineering or similar
• Experience in development projects, particularly with regard to EMC
• Experience in the field of EMC measurement technology and EMC standardization (MIL, DO, VG, AECTP)
• Flexibility and quick comprehension
• Structured, careful and independent way of working

• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
