About this Apprenticeship
IP Dynamics is seeking a Test Automation Engineer in Stuttgart for manual and automated software testing. The role covers test planning, test automation, fault analysis and improving testing processes in an agile environment. Work takes place at the office or at customer sites; working from home is the exception.
What You'll Learn
- Design, create and maintain test plans and test cases for manual and automated testing
- Design, implement and develop automated integration, system and end-to-end tests
- Carry out functional and non-functional tests, and analyse, document and track faults
- Review and analyse business and technical requirements to ensure testability and software quality
- Continually improve existing testing processes and tools in an agile environment
Requirements
- Completed university degree, technical vocational training in IT or a comparable qualification
- At least three years of practical experience with manual and automated testing in an agile environment
- Strong knowledge of testing methods, techniques and tools
- Practical experience with UI test automation frameworks, such as Playwright or Selenium
- Experience testing APIs, for example with Postman
- Programming skills in C# or JavaScript
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins
- Strong communication skills, willingness to learn and a team-focused attitude
- An organised approach with an analytical eye for quality
- Willingness to take responsibility, even when it is difficult
- Openness to AI tools and methods in daily testing work
- Fluent written and spoken German, at least C1
- An advantage, but not required: ISTQB Foundation Level or a comparable certification
