PiA Apprenticeship as Social Pedagogical Assistant at Catholic Daycare Centers in Stuttgart

The 60 Catholic daycare centers offer a practice-integrated apprenticeship with diverse educational experiences. The training combines Christian values, educational concepts and care for more than 3,000 children aged 0 to 6.

Provide individualized educational support to children in their learning processes; care for children in their everyday daycare routines and organize activities such as trips, projects, celebrations and cooperation with primary schools; learn and independently implement different educational concepts; develop a trusting educational partnership between the daycare center and parents.

Initiative, empathy and creativity; a school-based training place at Silberburg, Hedwig-Dom-Schule Stuttgart or Kompetenzzentrum Kolping Stuttgart; good German skills at least at B2 level and a grade of 3 in German; lower secondary school certificate with an average grade of 3.0 or equivalent qualification; identification with Christian values.

Training remuneration under the training agreement, employment after successful completion and a €400 bonus; practice-oriented training closely linked to vocational schools; freedom to contribute personal ideas and interests; PiA coordinator, educational development days and reliable contacts; appreciative working environment and subsidies for team-building activities; educational network, introductory event and regular trainee meetings; subsidy for a public transport company ticket.
