Secretary / Ward Assistant for General and Visceral Surgery

A position at Klinikum Stuttgart consisting of 80% medical assistance for general and visceral surgery and 20% cover for the chief physician’s office. The hospital is an academic teaching hospital with more than 9,500 employees.

Medical assistance for general and visceral surgery; serving as a link between ward doctors, patients, case management and nursing staff; supporting the medical team with daily ward activities, including medical letters and examination coordination; managing studies; covering for the wound-care specialist; entering inpatient obesity patient data in Access; administrative and organisational work in the chief physician’s office; appointment management, correspondence and enquiries; supporting hospital operations, outpatient scheduling, medical documents, applicant management, training and events; preparing private billing.

Completed vocational training in a medical or commercial field, ideally as a medical assistant, physician’s assistant or in a comparable qualification; medical and surgical knowledge is desirable; ideally experience in secretarial or assistant roles; confident use of MS Office; organisational talent and an independent, structured and reliable approach; friendly, committed and service-oriented manner; teamwork, strong communication, flexibility, accountability and discretion.
