International Real Estate Finance Risk Manager

LBBW is looking for a risk manager for international commercial real estate and development financing in Berlin, Stuttgart. The role focuses on the French property market. Applications from Executive Board Division 5 receive priority.

• Analyse and assess international real estate financing, focusing on France, particularly property quality, the wider and immediate location, cash flow, tenant mix, marketability, exit options and relevant property indicators
• Prepare well-founded credit and risk recommendations for new and existing transactions, including risk analyses ready for decision, clear assessments of transaction risks and suitable risk reduction measures, covenants and conditions
• Continuously monitor French property exposures by reviewing valuations, property reports, covenant tests and market value changes, and identify rising risks and the need for action early
• Support and structure the risk aspects of financing transactions, including complex deals, by reviewing term sheets, financial models, collateral arrangements and due diligence documents
• Build and maintain detailed market, country and specialist knowledge of the French property market, relevant asset classes, market practices, regulations and collateral structures
• Work closely with front office, credit operations, valuation teams, legal and other internal and external contacts to ensure sound lending decisions and structures that reflect the risks

• Successfully completed degree in economics or business, or an equivalent qualification
• Several years of experience in commercial real estate finance or credit risk management
• Very good understanding of property cash flows, ratings, special purpose vehicle and non-recourse structures, and regulatory requirements, together with strong analytical skills
• Sound decision-making and confident communication
• Very good German and English, and at least basic French
