About this Apprenticeship
As a nursing specialist at the LVR Association for LivingPlusLife, you take on a central role in supporting people with disabilities. Your work is as demanding as it is enriching – you actively shape the daily lives of our clients and take responsibility.
What You'll Learn
- Varied tasks: Everyday support and promotion of adults with intellectual disabilities. No two days are alike – experience an activity that challenges and inspires you.
- Responsibility and relationship: You accompany people long-term and build trusting relationships with a view to their life goals and development. You take on basic nursing care and the corresponding documentation. In addition, you are involved in shaping the daily planning of our clients within the framework of support planning and social participation.
- Experience-oriented and holistic work: Bring in your personality and benefit from a large, versatile range of tasks.
- Creative, self-determined work: You shape your work independently and have room for innovative ideas.
- Social relevance: Become part of an important social and political mandate. Your work is recognized and appreciated.
- As a float, you work, after onboarding, flexibly or according to a fixed duty roster in residential areas where staff shortages need to be compensated.
Requirements
- State recognition as curative education nurse, geriatric nurse, health and nursing professional (m/f/d) or nursing specialist
- You bring willingness to work in rotating shifts and on weekends.
- Ideally you already have experience in accompanying people with disabilities.
- You enjoy working hand in hand in a multiprofessional team.
- Working with people and actively shaping sustainable relationships brings you joy.
- You are characterized by creativity, sense of responsibility, flexibility and an independent working style in daily work.
- You bring experience in documenting support services.
- Binding willingness to learn and regularly use German Sign Language (DGS)
