Apprenticeship as Specialist for Bath Operations

As a specialist for bath operations, you are responsible for the safe operation of a swimming pool. This includes looking after bathers, organizational and administrative tasks, operating, monitoring, and maintaining structural and technical systems. You are the point of contact at the poolside, supervise bathing operations, and initiate rescue and first-aid measures in emergencies. Organizing and running swimming courses and entertainment programs, cleaning, and maintaining buildings and green areas are also part of your duties. During the apprenticeship, you learn about services, administration, and organization of a swimming pool, as well as the technical and chemical aspects of water treatment. The 3-year dual apprenticeship takes place at the Europabad and Domblickbad of the municipal baths authority and in blocks at the Johann-Philipp-Reis-Schule in Friedberg. Manual skills and swimming performance are developed through specific training sessions, and professional knowledge is expanded through in-house training and external courses.
