Mobile App Developer Kotlin & iOS

Marc O'Polo is looking for a mobile app developer to build and optimize the e-commerce app for iOS and Android based on Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile.

• You develop and optimize our e-commerce app for iOS and Android, based on Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM).
• You are in charge of implementing the core business logic in shared code and the platform-specific features and interfaces with Jetpack Compose and SwiftUI.
• You implement new features along the whole customer journey, including product discovery, checkout, payment, loyalty and personalization.
• You ensure our app offers high code quality, performance and stability across all platforms.
• Integrating REST and GraphQL APIs, including third-party services like analytics, payment and CRM, is part of your work.
• You actively take part in architecture decisions on both platforms and contribute expertise in areas like Clean Architecture and MVVM.
• You write unit, integration and UI tests for the shared code and for the Android and iOS apps to ensure software quality.
• You perform code reviews and promote active knowledge sharing within the team.
• You support releases in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, monitor the app and continuously work on optimizing it.

• You bring several years of experience in mobile app development, both for Android with Kotlin and for iOS with Swift.
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) is a plus but not a must; solid knowledge of Kotlin and Swift matters more to us.
• You know modern UI frameworks like Jetpack Compose and SwiftUI (ideally also UIKit) and understand the platform-specific features of both systems.
• Sound knowledge of mobile application architecture, such as Clean Architecture and MVVM, is a big advantage.
• Confident use of REST APIs is part of your daily work.
• You are familiar with asynchronous programming, with Coroutines and Flow as well as Swift Concurrency (async/await) or Combine.
• You stand out through knowledge of quality assurance with unit, integration and UI tests (e.g. JUnit, XCTest).
• Experience with Xcode, Gradle, CI/CD pipelines and the release processes in the App Store and Google Play is desirable.
• Your interest in modern mobile technologies and willingness to keep learning are part of your motivation.

• Fluent German or English skills round off your profile.
