Accounting Intern

Then start immediately as an Accounting Intern (m/f/d) at the JW Marriott, managed by Marriott International. Since 2021, the house belongs to the Marriott International family. Located in the heart of Berlin, between Ku'damm and Brandenburg Gate, the hotel offers, besides 500 guest rooms and suites, meeting and conference rooms for a total of up to 2,500 people and correspondingly much space for a wide variety of events. Furthermore, it has two restaurants and a bar for culinary experiences, as well as an exclusive spa and wellness area.

• You support the accounting team in creating invoices.
• You help with daily reconciliations and the creation of account statements (SOAs).
• You ensure compliance with audit compliance and LSOP requirements of other departments.
• You ensure that all documents are filed correctly.
• You follow up on open accounts and maintain seamless documentation and history logs.
• You ensure correct handling of credit cards and their imprints.
• You support the follow-up of group billing and make adjustments.
• You assist the internal auditor with daily tasks.
• You support the Director of Finance with projects.
• You help the Purchasing Manager in the procurement process.
• You reconcile all receivable accounts monthly (City Ledger, Guest Ledger, provisions, etc.).
• You take over tasks from team members from Accounting, Finance, and Purchasing during their absence.
• You maintain close cooperation with other department heads.

• You are currently enrolled in a study program and are looking for a mandatory internship.
• You ideally have solid knowledge in hospitality and are very good with numbers.
• You have analytical thinking skills and don't get rattled easily.
• You are a warm, authentic, and sociable personality.
• You convince with captivating communication and expression skills in German and English; another foreign language is an advantage.
• You bring flexible willingness to deploy and a pronounced quality awareness.
• You work organized and structured and have an eye for detail.
