Working Student Digital Assembly Planning, Automation and Artificial Intelligence

We are shaping the future of assembly planning at Mercedes-Benz. To this end, we develop digital solutions, improve processes and test new possibilities for automation and artificial intelligence. A focus is Plan4MO, our new central planning platform for assembly planning. As a working student you work in an international team on real issues and closely with experienced experts from assembly planning, industrial engineering and digitalisation. You will get to know modern digital tools and can contribute your own ideas.

• You support us in the further development of digital solutions for assembly planning
• You analyse existing processes and develop simple digital improvements together with us
• You test approaches from data analysis, automation and AI (artificial intelligence) and help to integrate them sensibly into our work
• You prepare results in an understandable way, for example in analyses, presentations or dashboards
• You participate in workshops and gradually take on your own work packages, matching your experience and interests

• Degree programme in industrial engineering, business informatics, computer science, data science, mechanical engineering, production engineering or a comparable degree programme
• Interest in digitalisation, data and modern technologies in an industrial environment
• Analytical thinking as well as a structured and reliable way of working
• Confident handling of MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
• Teamwork skills and confident German and English skills in word and writing
• Interest in AI (artificial intelligence) applications, digital assistance systems and automation
• First experience with Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Power BI, Python, Microsoft Power Automate or n8n is an advantage but not a requirement
