Cost Control Coordinator – Invoices, Provisions & Closing (m/f/d/o)

MSC Germany in Hamburg, part of the world's leading shipping company MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, is looking for a Cost Control Coordinator for invoices, provisions and closing. The job involves calculating and billing costs for ship calls in German ports.

• Calculate cargo- and port-related costs for ship calls in all German ports and handle the subsequent billing
• Carry out analyses and reporting, analyze deviations between calculated and booked costs and derive optimization measures
• Keep track of deadlines, payment terms and open invoices, ensure stable cash flow and proactively clarify discrepancies
• Communicate actively with internal departments and external partners on cost control topics, claims and open items
• Work with IT systems on optimizations and automation
• Support system tests when needed and work with IT on system improvements
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts with headquarters, provide data for KPI reports and help optimize internal processes

• Completed commercial vocational training and first experience, for example in shipping or freight forwarding/logistics
• Good German and English skills
• Strong communication skills and an organized, independent way of working
• Good analytical skills and an affinity for numbers
• Strong team spirit, quick grasp and a high degree of flexibility
