Sea Freight Import Clerk

MSC Germany in Hamburg, part of the world's leading shipping line MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, is looking for a Sea Freight Import Clerk (m/f/d/x) for the team in Hamburg. • You are our expert for all import topics and processes and work closely with other departments of the MSC Germany group and foreign MSC agencies.
• You are responsible for billing sea freight and/or surcharges to our customers and for releasing full containers in ports across Europe.
• Registering and rebooking empty returns at German and foreign depots and checking shipping documents (telex releases, seaway bills, OBLs and e-BLs) are also part of your tasks.
• As the first contact person for our customers, you answer questions by phone or email, for example about releases, empty returns and more.
• You also check and process invoice complaints and container damage.

• You are a shipping clerk (m/f/d), a clerk for freight forwarding and logistics services (m/f/d), or have completed another commercial training or degree, ideally with a focus on logistics.
• Ideally you have experience in import or sea freight.
• You stand out through your communication skills and an organized, independent way of working.
• You also have good German and English skills and knowledge of common MS Office 365 applications.
