Apprenticeship as Plant Mechanic – Pipe System Technology 2027

In your 3.5-year apprenticeship at the subsidiary NBB Netzgesellschaft Berlin - Brandenburg mbH & Co. KG, you will learn all the necessary fundamentals of the plant mechanic profession specializing in pipe system technology. Practical training takes place in the company's own modern training workshop. Theoretical training is at the Max-Taut-Schule upper secondary center. You will work in the workshop or on construction sites and at customer premises in Berlin.

Together with your colleagues, you ensure the safe and proper operation of the gas supply in one of Germany's largest regional distribution networks. This includes: core and specialized qualifications in metalworking in the workshop; planning pipe systems, manufacturing according to drawings, installing fittings; inspecting, maintaining, and repairing gas pipelines; installing and removing gas meters of all sizes; maintaining and servicing gas pressure regulating and measuring stations; welding technology (with interest and good skills, a switch to welding specialization is possible).

You have a good intermediate school leaving certificate (MSA), a good extended vocational education entrance qualification (eBBR), or a successfully completed (technical) high school diploma, especially with good grades in math and physics. You have German language skills at level C1 at the start of training. You meet all requirements to obtain a class B driver's license. You are curious, want to contribute to the energy transition, and enjoy working in a team. You are into technology, manually skilled, hands-on, and like working outdoors.

30 days vacation, December 24 and 31 off, support for exam preparation. Costs for class B driver's license covered (minimum hours, first attempt). Monthly meal allowance and Pluxee card for shopping.
