Legal Trainee Program

In the Legal Trainee Program we offer you diverse opportunities for your professional and personal development. We are looking for a university graduate with above-average achievements in law, business law or a comparable qualification. The focus is on training in the bank's three legal teams: Banking Law, Financing Law and Capital Markets Law. You will not only take on concrete tasks in daily business but also shape new things, for example by contributing to the expansion of legal tech and AI tools. During the program you will be closely supervised by our trainee support and experts. In addition to practice, regular seminars as well as development and feedback talks take place. The goal is to prepare you for a future position in the Legal department of NORD/LB by the end of the traineeship. Assignments with interface partners such as Compliance, Human Resources/Labor Law or the Executive Office complete your deployment areas. Upon full fulfillment of the requirement profile, an attractive salary according to tariff group 6 of the collective agreement for public banks is provided. In addition, a market-appropriate variable remuneration may be granted.

A profile that convinces us: - You have completed a law degree (state examination or bachelor's/master's degree) with above-average results or are about to graduate. - You are interested in banking and capital market law topics and have an understanding of economic contexts. - Analytical skills, quick comprehension, confident demeanor and good communication skills characterize you. - You enjoy working with colleagues from internal departments as well as with the bank's customers and convince with your high problem-solving competence. - Teamwork is your thing and you can get complex matters to the point. - Personal responsibility, high motivation, curiosity and openness are among your strengths. - You have very good German and English skills at least at C1 level.
