Dual Study Program for Judicial Enforcement Officer (LL.B.) - Civil Service Career in Higher Judicial Service

Judicial enforcement officers play an indispensable role in an effective legal system. When payments are not made despite a court judgment, creditors rely on enforcement officers to recover their money. The modern, versatile bachelor's program offers a balanced mix of theory and practice, pay from day one, and the prospect of a career combining independence and personal responsibility with the security of civil servant status and attractive remuneration. The program is also suitable for applicants with completed vocational training. As part of the judiciary, enforcement officers help implement court decisions and secure legal peace. Their primary goal is to find a mutually acceptable way for debts to be paid, requiring both persuasive and enforcement skills as well as empathy to balance the interests of creditors and debtors. Enforcement officers are authorized to decide independently on the compulsory enforcement of claims, bound only by law. Due to their significant sovereign tasks, they enjoy a high level of public trust and respect. Responsible for their own district, each officer independently manages creditor orders. Variety comes from a mix of office and field work, with daily interaction with diverse people and situations. The study program begins on 1 September at the University of Legal Practice in Schwetzingen and is structured in three phases: Year 1: university study (Phase I), Year 2: practical training at courts and enforcement offices (Phase II), Year 3: university study (Phase III). The integrated practical phase in year two provides early insights and hands-on experience. Passing all modules and the bachelor thesis leads to the degree "Bachelor of Laws" (LL.B.).

You meet the requirements for the judicial enforcement officer program if you have the Abitur (general higher education entrance qualification) or Fachhochschulreife (university of applied sciences entrance qualification), possess German citizenship or another nationality under § 7 of the Civil Service Status Act (e.g., EU citizen), fulfill the further legal requirements for appointment as a civil servant, and are medically fit.
