VAT Tax Specialist

PHOENIX, the market-leading pharmaceutical wholesaler in Germany, is looking for a VAT Tax Specialist (m/f/d) for its group headquarters in Mannheim from the beginning of February 2027.

• VAT advice to domestic and foreign group companies
• Preparing VAT returns, VAT declarations, recapitulative statements and input VAT refund applications of domestic group companies, including communication with the tax authorities
• Further development of the VAT compliance management system
• Regular monitoring of process efficiency and quality in VAT compliance
• VAT support for international projects
• Administration of cross-border VAT compliance
• Implementation of legal changes, employee information and training
• Support for tax audits of domestic group companies in the area of VAT

• Completed university degree in business administration or law
• Several years of professional experience in the tax department or in tax consulting for corporate groups
• Relevant experience in VAT law
• Confident use of MS Office applications
• Relevant knowledge of SAP FI is an advantage
• Good understanding of business processes and data-based systems
• Good written and spoken English
