Fresh Counter Sales Assistant, Field Service

You look after and support REWE stores in the field in the service, fresh food and catering areas, helping changing teams at the service counter. The position is fixed-term (2x 12 months), full-time.

• You look after and support our REWE stores in the field in the service, fresh food and catering areas.
• As a fresh counter sales assistant in the field, you support changing teams at the service counter for meat, sausage and cheese.
• You actively approach customers and advise them knowledgeably on products, origin, preparation and ideas for enjoyment.
• You sell and portion meat, sausage and cheese specialities to customers' wishes.
• You present fresh products attractively and ensure an appealing, sales-boosting display.
• You handle ordering and stock planning, check stock and quality and ensure smooth processes.
• You ensure freshness, quality and compliance with all hygiene and HACCP rules.

• You have completed training as a butcher's sales assistant (m/f/d), food trade salesperson (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification.
• You have two to three years of experience in service, ideally at a fresh counter, service counter or in customer-focused food retail.
• You stand out through strong customer and service orientation and enjoy customer advice and active selling.
• You work independently, with commitment and flexibility, and have a strong sense of responsibility and quality.
• You like working with different teams and contacts and stand out through communication skills, team spirit and an appreciative manner.
• You hold a class B driving licence and are willing to travel for your field work.
