Customs Clearance Clerk

Rheinmetall Aviation Services GmbH in Weeze. Full-time, permanent contract. Processing of import and export customs clearance, document verification, calculation of import duties, export control and creation of shipping documents.

• Obtaining and checking the necessary import documents
• Carrying out customs clearance in the ATLAS system
• Submission of all documents to customs
• Verification and calculation of import duties
• Checking prohibitions and restrictions based on the customs tariff number and description
• Reconciliation of article information with the EZT and verification of legal texts
• Coordination of export control regarding applicability of export control regulations
• Creation of export and shipping documents
• Obtaining and forwarding relevant shipping information

• Successfully completed commercial vocational training as a forwarding clerk (m/f/d), industrial clerk (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in customs clearance
• Very good English skills written and spoken
• Confident use of Microsoft Office and ideally experience with customs and ERP systems such as SAP GTS
• Knowledge of customs and foreign trade regulations, in particular the Union Customs Code
• Experience with import and export processes and the associated customs procedures
• Experience in the creation, verification and correction of customs declarations
• Knowledge of rules of origin and trade policy measures
• Experience in handling customs documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and transit documents
• Knowledge of customs transit procedures such as T1
• Basic knowledge of export control regulations, embargoes and sanctions
