Systems Engineer Ground Systems

As a Systems Engineer for Ground Systems, you are responsible for the architecture, design and construction of ground system components of unmanned reconnaissance systems, and for supporting the head of ground systems. Full-time, permanent.

• Creating requirements and specifications
• Designing or supporting mechanical UAS subsystems (e.g. ground control station, antenna mast system, launch catapult, workshop equipment, etc.)
• Creating and coordinating test programs for verification according to specification / approval requirements
• Exchanging test results with development leads on performance / system improvement options
• Creating construction documents for prototype and series production, test documents and specifications
• Creating risk assessments and verification documents for product safety
• Production support (alternative suppliers of structural parts, qualification of parts)
• Coordination with KM/QM/SB
• Support and further development of UAS equipment structures in series production
• Creating and improving processes, methods and tools (CAD-PLM connection, design guideline, change process)

• Diploma engineer (m/f/d), preferably in mechanical engineering / aerospace engineering or comparable
• Several years of experience as a systems engineer, preferably in ground systems
• Knowledge of UAS equipment design, strength verification, design management, special vehicle construction and product safety
• Basic knowledge of systems engineering and requirements engineering
• Confident use of 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks) and very good MS Office skills
• Knowledge of PDM / PLM software
• Basic knowledge of FEM software tools (e.g. ANSYS)
• Good technical English and very good written and spoken German
• Flexibility, teamwork, high commitment and quality awareness
