Product Engineer / Solution Architect

Bosch Service Solutions GmbH develops modern cloud-based software solutions for the mobility and logistics industry. For the team in Gießen (hybrid), it is looking for a proactive person who bridges technology and business and actively uses generative software tools. Full-time, permanent.

• End-to-end feature ownership: You guide features from the first customer idea through business and technical design to production release.
• Customer & interface dialogue: You talk directly with users, partners and clients from the mobility industry, understand their workflows and translate business requirements into pragmatic, scalable product features.
• Architecture & AI-assisted development: You use modern AI generators and agentic tools to build solutions efficiently. Your focus is on designing robust data models, validating generated code and ensuring high quality standards.
• Code review & quality assurance: You act as mentor and QA authority for automatically created software components to guarantee maintainability and performance.
• Topic & interface management: You keep track of several parallel development streams, align technical feasibility with customers and partners and make well-founded architecture decisions.
• Technology radar: You proactively evaluate new technologies, frameworks and AI tools to continuously increase our development speed and product quality.

• Education: successfully completed degree in computer science, business informatics, media informatics, or comparable vocational and professional training.
• AI-first mindset: You see AI coding assistants and autonomous agents not just as tools but as a fixed part of your workflow. You know how to phrase requirements precisely enough for generative systems to deliver optimal results.
• Tech stack & experience: Several years of experience in software engineering. Our stack is based on PHP/Laravel and MySQL in the backend and historically grown JavaScript in the frontend. You enjoy getting into existing legacy architectures, developing them pragmatically and gradually raising them to modern standards (e.g. Vue.js). More important than any single framework is your deep understanding of clean software architecture, API design and refactoring.
• Methods & quality skills: Experience with automated tests, CI/CD and modern developer tools (incl. AI coding assistants/copilots).
• Communication & organisation: Strong ability to manage parallel topics in a structured way, explain complex matters clearly to customers and justify decisions transparently.
• Languages: Very good German and good English, spoken and written.
