About this Apprenticeship
In this position you are responsible for the plannable, secure, and traceable delivery of new software versions across our entire online landscape – from online shop and app to connected systems of the ROSSMANN pharmacy. Release Planning & Coordination: You plan, coordinate, and control releases across the various teams and systems of our online landscape Release Trains & Dates: You bring the involved teams onto a common release rhythm, manage cross-team dependencies, and ensure plannable and reliable release cycles CI/CD, Deployment & Rollback: You further develop deployment processes, CI/CD pipelines, and rollback strategies together with the DevOps of the online group and ensure stable, repeatable, and secure deliveries Change Management & Traceability: You ensure clean change management – including documentation and audit trail – and thus contribute to compliance, especially in regulated areas such as the pharmacy business Interface & Continuous Improvement: You are the central interface between Dev, Run, and Compliance and continuously improve the release process in terms of lead time, quality, and risk
What You'll Learn

- Change Management & Traceability: You ensure clean change management – including documentation and audit trail – and thus contribute to compliance, especially in regulated areas such as the pharmacy business
- Interface & Continuous Improvement: You are the central interface between Dev, Run, and Compliance and continuously improve the release process in terms of lead time, quality, and risk
Requirements
- Experience in service/IT operations: You have managed the operation of business-critical platforms – ideally according to ITIL – and maintain an overview even in complex operational situations.
- Experience in release management: You have already worked in release, configuration, or change management – ideally in complex, multi-part system landscapes with multiple teams
- DevOps & CI/CD know-how: You know modern DevOps practices and are confident in using CI/CD tools as well as deployment and rollback strategies
- Coordination across teams: You synchronize multiple teams and systems, keep track of numerous parallel topics, and manage dependencies and stakeholders confidently
- Regulated & business-critical environments: Experience with releases in regulated or business-critical environments is an advantage; you are aware of the requirements for traceability and auditability
- Structured & assertive working style: You work in a structured and coordinating manner, communicate clearly, and make comprehensible decisions even in go/no-go situations under pressure
- Qualification & communication: You have a completed degree, relevant vocational training, or corresponding professional experience and operate confidently in German and English
