Mechatronics Technicians

Mechatronics engineers build mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, assemble them into complex systems, install control software, and maintain systems. Therefore, they must be proficient primarily in the fields of mechanical and plant engineering as well as automation technology.

For industrial requirements, components must be manufactured precisely using manual and machine metalworking processes. Knowledge of electrical components, circuit design, and fault diagnosis is taught in theory and practice. Throughout the entire Ausbildung period, insights into internal company processes are provided. Here, the trainees learn the basics of operational and technical communication as well as their application for problem and conflict resolution.

The focus of the Ausbildung is work on test benches for investigating powertrains. The skills already acquired are applied in the areas of assembly, setup, and programming. This includes the construction of measuring units as well as the design and manufacture of necessary special devices for the setup. In addition, maintenance work for the upkeep of the test bench must be carried out independently.
