Training as a Nursing Professional - Start 1 August 2027

Training to become a nursing professional with theoretical instruction in Elmshorn and varied practical placements at the Elmshorn and Pinneberg hospitals and partner organizations. The training covers caring for and supporting people of all age groups.

Working with people in need of assistance in different life situations and supporting them with personal care, dressing and undressing, and eating; measuring and regularly monitoring vital signs; advising, instructing and supporting people receiving care and their relatives; assessing care needs and planning, organizing, delivering and documenting care; interdisciplinary cooperation; initiating life-saving emergency measures until a doctor arrives; independently carrying out medically prescribed measures and supporting diagnostic, therapeutic, rehabilitation, crisis and disaster-response measures.

Empathy, motivation, teamwork skills and personality; enjoyment of and a sense of responsibility when working with patients of all age groups and their relatives; intermediate secondary school certificate, or alternatively a lower secondary school certificate with at least two years of vocational training or with one year of training as a nursing assistant in healthcare or elderly care; B2 language certificate and a school-leaving certificate recognized in Germany.
