Day-Ahead Electricity Forecasting Manager

In the SCOS team, you will create and improve day-ahead forecasts for energy procurement. The company plans, builds and manages a varied property portfolio, from offices and restaurants to homes.

• You are responsible for creating day-ahead forecasts and schedules for our energy procurement
• You further develop new processes for forecasting, quality assurance and results evaluation and establish them as lasting practices within the company
• You coordinate the technical implementation of energy data and forecasting algorithms and take responsibility for their functional implementation, working closely with internal and external partners
• You analyse existing data structures and develop strategies to improve data quality and availability
• You build and run a continuous monitoring and reporting system to assess forecast accuracy

• You have a completed degree, ideally a master's, in energy economics, industrial engineering, data science or a comparable qualification
• You have several years of experience in the energy industry, ideally in balancing group and schedule management, energy consumption forecasting or energy trading
• You are confident working with databases and handling and analysing large datasets, ideally in the energy industry
• You are familiar with MaBiS, GPKE and EDIFACT communication
• Ideally, you can make your work easier using VBA, Google Apps Script, Python or SQL
• You demonstrate team spirit, strong communication skills and a high level of initiative
