Strategic Buyer, International Procurement, Bake-Off Focus

In the SCOS team, you will supply the Schwarz Group with products and services for its own use. This full-time role focuses on strategic international procurement of bake-off technologies and improving baking processes and quality standards.

• Strategic advice: You proactively advise our national companies and the Lidl and Kaufland divisions on developing baking parameters, sensory assessment and group-wide quality standards.
• Practical work and innovation: You design, manage and oversee forward-looking baking tests directly on the equipment and thoroughly evaluate the results with the relevant departments.
• Cross-functional coordination: You connect strategic purchasing, quality assurance, engineering and sales to establish best practices across countries.
• Management reporting: You prepare analyses, business cases and presentations directly for senior management to support decisions.
• Product range and process development: You develop cost-effective, future-ready procurement concepts for modern bake-off technologies and processes.
• International rollout: After thorough onboarding, you independently take responsibility for global baking programmes and introduce innovative standards internationally.

• Professional background: You have a degree in food technology or further training as a master baker or master confectioner, and you are passionate about baked goods.
• Expertise: You have substantial professional experience in the food sector or retail and a thorough command of common hygiene and quality standards.
• Working style: You work independently, methodically and towards clear goals.
• Skills: You have strong analytical and sensory assessment skills, a good understanding of numbers, and strong communication and influencing skills.
• IT knowledge: You routinely use standard MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint, to produce meaningful analyses.
