Insight into industrial production and processing of high-quality dried fruits in a 2-year apprenticeship specializing in food technology; setup, monitoring and operation of computer-controlled production and packaging equipment; learning applicable hygiene standards and general cleanliness in production environment; assisting with setup and maintenance work as well as troubleshooting machine malfunctions; theoretical phases in block instruction at ZDS - Central Technical School of the German Confectionery Industry in Solingen.

Secondary school diploma (Hauptschule or Realschule) with good grades in mathematics, physics and German; enthusiasm for technical processes and their functions; enjoyment working with computer-controlled systems; interest in food and their reactions; willingness to work shifts during and after apprenticeship; team player with strong sense of responsibility and motivation.
