Apprenticeship – Confectionery Technologist Production

During your practical phase in Übach-Palenberg you gain insight into the processes of industrial production of high-quality chocolates in a three-year apprenticeship. You learn how product, equipment, and personnel hygiene are inspected according to a defined control plan. You become familiar with applicable hygiene standards and general cleanliness in the production environment (GMP, glass monitoring, etc.). You acquire incoming goods inspection of raw materials. You learn how to set up, monitor, and operate computer-controlled production and packaging machines. You experience the artisanal manufacture of our products. Your theoretical phases take place in block instruction at the ZDS – Central Technical School of the German Confectionery Industry in Solingen.

You have a lower secondary (Hauptschule) or intermediate secondary (Realschule) school leaving certificate with good grades in mathematics, biology, and chemistry. You are enthusiastic about technical processes and how they work. You enjoy working with computer-controlled systems. You are interested in food and its reactions. You are willing to work shifts during and after the apprenticeship. You are a team player with a strong sense of responsibility and motivation.

Attractive and above-average remuneration: over €1,200 in the 1st year, over €1,300 in the 2nd year, and over €1,500 in the 3rd year per month plus vacation and Christmas bonuses.
