Apprenticeship in Confectionery Technology, Quality Assurance

Three-year apprenticeship in confectionery technology with a focus on quality assurance at Solent in Übach-Palenberg. You will learn how chocolate is made using industrial and traditional methods. Classroom training takes place in blocks at ZDS in Solingen.

• During the practical part of your three-year apprenticeship in Übach-Palenberg, you will learn about the industrial production of high-quality chocolate
• You will learn how product, equipment and staff hygiene are checked according to a set inspection plan
• You will learn the applicable hygiene standards and general cleanliness practices in production, including GMP and glass monitoring
• You will learn to check raw materials when deliveries arrive. You will learn how to set up, monitor and operate computer-controlled production and packaging equipment
• You will learn how our products are made by hand. Your classroom training takes place in blocks at ZDS, the German confectionery industry's specialist school in Solingen

• You have a lower or intermediate secondary school leaving certificate with good grades in mathematics, biology and chemistry
• You are enthusiastic about technical processes and how they work
• You enjoy working with computer-controlled systems
• You are interested in food and how it reacts
• You are willing to work shifts during and after the apprenticeship
• You are a team player with a strong sense of responsibility and motivation
