Mechatronics Technician / Industrial Electrical Technician

Solent is hiring a mechatronics or industrial electrical technician in Übach-Palenberg. This permanent food production role starts immediately and involves 38 hours per week in a four-shift system.

• Keep equipment, machines, automation systems and units available and improve them to prevent downtime
• Identify and resolve production problems early and follow all health and safety standards
• Look after, monitor, maintain, repair and operate equipment and automation systems, including using testing and diagnostic systems
• Install, program, commission, improve and expand automation systems, equipment and components
• Carry out mechanical tasks such as setting up or modifying equipment, disassembly and assembly, drilling, cutting and grinding
• Record maintenance work and inspections, including in SAP, and document stock withdrawals

• Completed vocational training as an electronics technician, mechatronics technician or a comparable qualification
• Ideally, industrial work experience and experience with mechanical tasks such as setting up or modifying equipment, assembly, drilling, cutting and grinding
• Experience with Siemens S7, Allen Bradley and visualisation, plus knowledge of MES and SAP
• Willingness to work in a four-shift system
