Maintenance and Mechanical Technician / Master Craftsperson

Bon Gelati produces ice cream in Übach-Palenberg using highly automated production equipment. The company is seeking a technician or master craftsperson for maintenance and mechanical work. This is a permanent position.

• Independently analyse equipment faults, introduce targeted corrective measures and help prepare maintenance plans and maintain suitable stocks of mechanical spare parts
• Develop maintenance plans based on risks and prepare risk matrices in close cooperation with production and the head of mechanical maintenance analysis
• Independently assess faults and downtime and analyse damage to develop lasting preventive and repair measures
• Set up regular performance reporting with technical management and ensure all maintenance work meets workplace and food safety requirements
• Actively support improvement projects across departments and implement workplace safety measures throughout the site in close cooperation with the EHS team
• Brief, instruct on safety and supervise external service providers, including checking tools, recording work and issuing work permits
• Prepare practical standard operating instructions and independently deliver user training

• Completed technical vocational training in mechanics with further qualification as a master craftsperson or technician in a comparable field
• Sound practical experience in safety technology
• Extended basic knowledge of SAP (PM/MM) and confident use of Google Workspace applications
• Basic English skills at A2 level for effective communication in daily work
• Strong ability to work effectively in teams across different disciplines and departments
