Utilities Technician

Freiberger Lebensmittel GmbH is seeking a utilities technician in Berlin. This permanent, full-time role involves safely operating and maintaining utility systems in food production.

• Workplace safety is your top priority. Through responsible actions, you actively help put our Vision Zero workplace safety strategy into practice.
• You monitor, operate and check our utility systems and ensure they run safely and reliably.
• You look after refrigeration, compressed air, thermal oil, water, heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems, as well as building services equipment.
• You carry out inspection rounds and check that systems work properly and safely.
• You carry out preventive and condition-based maintenance and help with installations and modifications.
• You clearly document faults, repairs, maintenance and inspections and contribute to audits and quality, hygiene, environmental and energy management measures.
• You supervise external contractors and contribute to technical projects, acceptance inspections and system improvements.

• You have completed technical vocational training, for example in refrigeration, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, electrical energy and building systems, industrial mechanics or mechatronics, or have a comparable qualification.
• Ideally, you already have practical experience in building services or technical maintenance. No minimum number of years of experience is required.
• You have a good technical understanding and practical skills and can assess technical systems analytically.
• You work independently, accurately and reliably and stay calm when faults occur.
• You have basic MS Office skills. Experience with maintenance software or SAP PM is a plus.
• You are willing to work shifts, be on call and occasionally work weekends.
