About this Apprenticeship
In our mother/father-child residential group, young parents learn to manage the challenges of family life. Minor or adult mothers and fathers who need support are admitted. The 9 places are spread over 4 floors. In a multiprofessional team of social pedagogues and educators, you shape a reliable daily routine.
What You'll Learn
- Care under §19 SGB VIII of mothers/fathers with their children
- Strengthening the parental role and personal development of the parent
- Supporting and encouraging young mothers/fathers on their way to independent living
- Advising and supporting the parent in parenting tasks and in coping with individual problems
- Cooperation with pediatricians, daycare centers, authorities, schools etc.
- Contributing to the further development of the program
- Creating varied activities for those in care
- Conscientious implementation of child and client protection
Requirements
- Completed training as an educator or comparable pedagogical qualification
- Ideally experience in residential child and youth welfare or similar pedagogical fields
- Ability to perceive the individual needs of those in your care and build trusting, lasting relationships
- Patient, reliable and caring even in challenging situations
- Willingness to work night shifts
- Regular reflection on your own pedagogical practice
- Constructive and respectful cooperation in the team and with network partners
- Contribute your own ideas and shape daily life in a lively way, involving the mothers and fathers
- Professional handling of closeness and distance
