Electrician for the Electrical Technical Service, Part-time (29 hrs/week)

The City of Dortmund is looking for an electrician for its electrical technical service in occupational health and safety management, starting as soon as possible, on a permanent contract. The electrical technical service is the central point of contact for the city's departments and municipal enterprises on all questions about the safety of portable electrical equipment.

• Check portable electrical equipment according to DGUV Regulation 4 in connection with the Industrial Safety Regulation TRBS 1203
• Document test results using a test sticker and test report
• Carry out the necessary occupational safety measures (e.g. taking defective equipment out of service, training/instructing employees on using work equipment)
• Carry out repair work on electrical equipment and check it afterwards

• Completed vocational training in electrical engineering with at least one year of work experience in the electrical field and recent professional work in testing equipment
• Knowledge of DGUV Regulation 4 and DIN VDE 0701/0702
• Organizes work independently, on own initiative and with awareness of resources, and handles difficulties in the workflow in a solution-oriented way
• Works together with others, including across departments, in a self-organized and effective way in a good working atmosphere
• Willingness and ability to work carefully and precisely, to avoid or fix mistakes where possible, and to reliably keep agreements
• Ability to express yourself precisely and in a nuanced way, adapting to the situation and audience
• Applicants without the relevant knowledge and experience must be able to acquire it quickly
• A valid driving licence of class 3 or B is required
