Sewer Construction Worker in the Wastewater Operations Division

We are looking for you at the earliest possible date as a Sewer Construction Worker (m/f/d) in the Wastewater Operations Division for the Municipal Drainage Operations – permanent. Your future workplace: The Municipal Drainage Dortmund, as a facility similar to a municipal enterprise of the City of Dortmund, operates the public sewer network in the city area and participates above ground in the municipal response to the impacts of climate change through heavy rainfall events and heat. The Wastewater Operations maintains and operates the mostly underground sewer infrastructure of the city. In the "Sewer Repair" team we repair damage to the sewer network and thus maintain its performance. In this way we secure the valuable infrastructure and help Dortmund to cope with the consequences of climate change in the future.

• Repair and maintenance of the public sewer network and special structures (e.g. pumping stations and rainwater retention basins)
• Carrying out preparatory work (e.g. construction site setup and safety, loading of required materials)
• Carrying out final work (e.g. dismantling of construction site setup, restoration of road surface)
• Work in special operations (e.g. accompanying external companies, building walls and fences at special structures, paving work for road surface restoration) also in cooperation with other professional groups

• You have completed a vocational training in the occupation of Sewer Construction Worker.
• The ability to perform physically demanding work (verified in the pre-employment medical examination, including fitness according to G.26(3))
• The willingness to perform work with a high degree of dirt exposure
