Educator or Therapeutic Educator

We want all children in Dortmund to be able to exploit their potential. As the municipal provider of daycare centers in Dortmund (FABIDO), we ensure a good childcare offer in the daycare centers. Our offers for children are needs-based, temporally flexible and diverse. We are continuously expanding childcare. Currently, FABIDO educates and cares for more than 10,000 children in 103 daycare centers, in childminding, and at three all-day primary schools. With over 2,700 employees in the care facilities and administration, we are the largest employer for early childhood education in Dortmund. As a large provider, FABIDO is united by the common values of diversity, tolerance and democracy, a family atmosphere and common pedagogical principles. Nevertheless, each of our daycare centers is unique: family center, language daycare, exercise facility, bilingual facilities, inclusive care and much more. As part of our network work, we won 2nd place in the German Daycare Award in 2022. In 2024, our culture daycare centers even took first place. In addition, FABIDO has been awarded as a "Fair Company". Global learning and sustainability are part of everyday life for children in FABIDO daycare centers. We offer not only a large selection for parents, but also specialist areas for you as an educator or therapeutic educator. In our single-group to ten-group daycare centers and family centers with different pedagogical focuses, as well as at three all-day primary schools, between 20 and 200 children aged from 8 weeks to school entry or primary school children with care times between 35 and 60 hours per week are supported. This results in opening hours usually between 7:00 and 17:00 or between 6:00 and 18:00. Lunch for the children is partly prepared by a catering company, partly in a commercial kitchen. Here we stand for healthy nutrition with the optiMIX nutrition concept. For our daycare centers in the Dortmund city area and for the three all-day primary schools, we are looking for you as a committed state-recognized educator (m/f/d) or state-recognized therapeutic educator (m/f/d). If you are still in training to become a state-recognized educator or therapeutic educator, you can already apply for a permanent position with us. We currently offer several positions with regular weekly working hours between 20 and 39 hours. Deployment possibilities will be discussed with you. For our employees we have an internal personnel system that allows you, depending on your pedagogical interests, to switch to other daycare centers or to all-day care at primary schools with other focuses during your working life. Employment is permanent. The positions are rated according to S 8a - Pay Scale 2 - (Annex C to TVöD).

• Thanks to your pedagogical expertise, you support and accompany the children entrusted to us, aged from 8 weeks to school entry or primary school age, professionally competently and oriented towards new pedagogical insights. We look at each individual child and their developmental stage with care, individually and with a focus on strengths.
• We highly value cohesion and a good team atmosphere. Together with your daycare team and the management, you work in a team-oriented manner on the further development of pedagogical concepts and the facility profile.
• We see ourselves as educational partners with parents. Through your social and emotional competencies and your good empathy, you work in partnership with parents, conduct development talks, help and advise on developmental questions of the children.

• You can reliably work the daily working hours within a duty roster within the opening and care hours of the facility. The duty roster is created by the management with sufficient lead time, taking into account interests.
• Pedagogical work is constantly evolving. Therefore you are continuously interested in your own professional development.
