Apprenticeship as a Mechatronics Technician 2027

During the three-and-a-half-year apprenticeship, the first 18 months in the training center cover the practical and theoretical foundations of electrical engineering, mechanics, and automation technology. This is followed by practical work on systems, machines, and vehicles such as subways, trams, ticket machines, escalators, elevators, and power-plant equipment.

Learn to maintain, service, and repair complex systems, machines, and vehicles. Work with mechanical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and robotics; install, wire, and test hardware and software components; measure and inspect components; and analyze and resolve faults.

At least an intermediate school-leaving certificate. Enjoyment of mathematics, physics, and logic puzzles, enthusiasm for technology, practical skills, enjoyment of teamwork, an open approach to people, and reliability.

A strong chance of permanent employment after the apprenticeship, along with varied tasks and great colleagues.
