Apprenticeship as Bookseller

Do books excite you? People too? Then make both your profession. In your apprenticeship as a bookseller (f/m/d), you'll dive deep into the world of books. You'll deal with new releases, genres, and various topics and develop a feel for which book suits which customer. You'll get to know our diverse range and advise our customers personally – from books to games to gift ideas. Together with your team, you'll ensure every visit to Thalia becomes a special experience.

Advising customers: You find the right books, games, gift ideas, and more – and inspire with your personal advice. Become a favorite bookseller: You discover new titles, write your own reviews, and share your personal reading recommendations. Shape our ranges: You present our products creatively and create an atmosphere that invites browsing and discovery. Create special experiences: You support events like readings and ensure unforgettable moments with your team. Shape the book trade: You gain insights into sales, checkout, goods receipt, and behind-the-scenes processes.

You have at least a middle school leaving certificate (Mittlere Reife) or are about to graduate. You have good to very good German skills and communicate confidently in German, both orally and in writing. You enjoy approaching people and take pleasure in advising them personally. You love books and enjoy digital offerings and diverse thematic worlds.

Fair apprenticeship salary: €1,140 in the 1st year, €1,260 in the 2nd, €1,410 gross in the 3rd year, plus holiday and Christmas bonuses.
