Apprenticeship as a bookseller with practical experience and personal support. You learn to advise customers, design bookshops, organise the product range and run events.

Advise customers and sell books in the different departments of the bookshop. Handle till operations and cash reconciliation. Design and present book-related product ranges for specific target groups. Research databases and carry out merchandise-management analyses. Organise and run events such as author readings.

Good intermediate school-leaving certificate, university of applied sciences entrance qualification or Abitur; a sense for trends; interest in digital worlds and enjoyment of working with different media; customer- and service-oriented thinking and actions; communication skills, a positive attitude, initiative, teamwork and reliability.
