Apprenticeship in book retail focusing on customer advice, sales, product range presentation, merchandise management, and events. Trainees take on responsibility early and receive practical and personal support.

Advising customers and selling products in the various bookstore departments; checkout and checkout accounting tasks; designing and presenting book-related product ranges for specific target groups; researching databases and analyzing merchandise data; organizing and holding events such as author readings.

A good intermediate school certificate, university of applied sciences entrance qualification, or Abitur; a feel for trends; interest in digital worlds and different media; customer- and service-oriented thinking and behavior; strong communication skills; a positive attitude; initiative; ability to work in a team; reliability.
