Social Worker / Educator for Low-Threshold Therapeutic Residential Network for Adults

For over 20 years, we have been working in our low-threshold housing project in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg with people who have faced homelessness and mental illness in their lives, and some of whom also have experience with addiction. Our therapeutic residential network offers people who have lived on the streets for a long time or are acutely threatened by homelessness a space where they can find protection and orientation, stabilize psychologically, and develop a future perspective. We support people in therapeutic shared apartments, in their own apartments, in provider apartments, or in cooperation with social housing assistance. Starting 01.01.2027, we are looking for a socio-educational specialist for 30-35 hours/week (permanent).

Shifts during our support hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00–18:00; occasional shifts on weekends and holidays; conducting individual conversations and leading/co-leading group activities; supporting clients in self-care and promoting practical daily skills; promoting personal stabilization and strengthening independence; outpatient crisis intervention when needed; individual goal and service planning and implementation within the framework of social participation according to SGB IX; cooperation with specialist agencies, authorities, and, if applicable, relatives.

Degree in Social Work, Social Pedagogy, Pedagogy, Psychology, Curative Education, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Geriatric Nursing; experience working with the target group; strong reflective ability and team orientation; humor, flexibility, and creativity in dealing with daily challenges.

Salary based on TV-L SuE 2025, for social workers/pedagogues or comparable S12, for educators S8b; employer-financed company pension scheme after probationary period at 4.6% of monthly gross salary plus child allowance; subsidy for company ticket after probationary period: 'Deutschlandticket Job' for €42.73/month instead of €63.46; training vouchers for the neuhland Academy; internal and external training; 31 days vacation; regular external supervision, case discussions, team meetings; work in an experienced team with a friendly and collegial atmosphere; team events, sabbaticals, anniversary bonuses.
